Rheya Pawar serves as the Chief of Neighborhood Outreach for Mayor Matt Mahan, where she leads efforts to connect residents across San José to City Hall and oversees the Neighborhoods Team. A San José native, Rheya grew up in the Silver Creek area before moving to Morgan Hill. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and Pre-Law from San Francisco State University.

Prior to joining Mayor Mahan’s team, Rheya served as an Operations Manager for three years and interned in the office of Congresswoman Jackie Speier, where she supported constituent services and policy research. Rheya brings a deep commitment to public service, a passion for local government, and a drive to uplift neighborhood voices.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, being creative, and spending time with family and friends.
