SAN JOSÉ, CA - After nearly 200 San José residents came to share their thoughts, the March Budget Message for fiscal year 2025-26 was passed with a 7-4 vote by the City Council. Mayor Matt Mahan and Vice Mayor Pam Foley will be available to discuss their thoughts and next steps. Each year, the Mayor’s Message shapes the fiscal priorities of the City — maintaining critical investments while outlining new programs like this year’s first-in-the-nation pay for performance model that ties the raises of top leaders in City Hall to results.
